I have BA degree in Journalism. After finishing college, I got my certificate enabling me to teach Technology Education, Journalism, and English Language Arts. I've since been working as a teacher for the last 5 years. I've worked with students with many needs and abilities. This includes gifted students, those with special needs, AP level students, and ESL students. I love to help with English Language Arts and focus on writing, reading comprehension, verbal skills, and analysis. I love to help students with English because I think strong reading and writing skills lead to academic excellence elsewhere. Students that do well with their writing and reading are more confident and can comprehend more things.I believe it's important to focus on student centered education. I think each student should take a big role in learning. I work as a mentor and help students improve their critical thinking skills. I set the bar high because I want my students to work hard for the best possible results. When I'm not teaching or working with students individually, I like to spend time going to church, baking, and spending time with my family. I also love outdoor events and activities. I'm ready to help you with your learning needs.
