Experience

I went to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale to get my bachelor's degree in history, and then I went on to the University of Texas at Arlington for my master's degree in history. As a master student, I had the opportunity to work in the academic support center on campus, where I gained experience tutoring students in European history, American history, Roman history, and others. I also served as a supplemental instructor to a faculty member in history department. I had the opportunity to lead study sessions and explain topics that students struggle with. I'm now teaching history at a community college in an adjunct role. I love to teach, and it's rewarding to be able to enact with students. I find that I learned from them just like they learn for me. When I have free time, I enjoy baseball, golf, tennis, softball, and disc golf.
