I live in Dallas, Texas. I enjoy working with students and helping them to develop their writing skills so they can see and understand the difference that hard work can make. I firmly believe that no two students learn the same way. When instructing others, I carefully assess them so I can determine different ways to tailor my approach to their learning style so that they can achieve optimal results in their academic endeavors.I enjoy tutoring. I have a great deal of experience in tutoring in many subjects, especially in basic math, reading skills, college-level writing, and test preparation. I can provide instruction on a wide variety of subjects, including math, reading, literature, grammar and mechanics, college-level writing, American history, European history, and Latin. When I'm not tutoring or teaching, I enjoy playing tabletop role-playing games, regular video games, board games, reading, and writing.I received my Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Arts in English from the University of Dallas. I also earned a second master's degree in English at Southern Methodist University. I most recently worked as a professor at a local community college in the Dallas area.
