Now a resident of San Antonio, Texas, I began my life in Denver, Colorado, where my positive experience with education started. I am a current student of Trinity University with a major in Engineering Sciences, focusing on the chemical side of things. I minor in Mathematics and Physics. In the summers, for four years, I have acted as a swimming coach in my town at our community pool. The young people I work with vary in age from four to eighteen. So, my comfort level spans over all stages of development. I focus on math, primarily, and am knowledgeable in algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and physics. I can also assist with ACT and SAT mathematics and science.As someone who has spent a great deal of time being taught, I know what practices work and which ones don't. I prefer an interactive model of teaching instead of simply talking about things found in textbooks. It is very effective to break things down into terms that students can understand and to let them explore concepts on their own. I am a dog lover who enjoys video games, hiking, playing soccer, and skiing. In my spare time, I also put in time volunteering.
