Education

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with a minor in Math from University of Colombo in Sri Lanka and a Master of Science in Physics with a minor in Math from University of Missouri at Rolla. l have also attended Ph. D. classes at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Experience

Teaching brings me great pleasure. I love it when students focus on difficult concepts or problems and make an attempt to understand them. My role as a teacher is to guide them in that process and motivate them so that they don't see it as a roadblock when they find it difficult. Instead, I help them see it as a new problem that will enrich their learning experience. I have taught College Physics classes as a teaching assistant for over six years, and most of the Physics problems include a lot of Math. I believe that every student should have a good basic knowledge in Math. I am interested in helping them achieve this. I hold a Distinguished Teaching Assistant Award in Physics from University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
